Samsung will start beta testing Gaming Hub today

Samsung will start beta testing Gaming Hub today

After releasing the stable One UI 8.5 update to millions of smartphones globally, Samsung has started recruiting beta testers for its Gaming Hub app on mobile devices. With the new version, the South Korean firm aims to offer gamers improved usability, more customization options, and additional features.

Upcoming features for Gaming Hub on Galaxy phones and tablets

With the updated Gaming Hub app, Samsung plans to improve library management and accessibility based on a user’s gaming history. The app will make essential controls, such as bookmarks, mute, and the notification bar, easier to access.

Users will also be able to check the remaining time (countdown) before a game starts so that they can do other tasks until their game is ready to play. They can also customize their gamer profiles.

Samsung says Gaming Hub will offer personalized analysis based on a user's gaming history. By using information from Galaxy Store, Google Play, and cloud gaming (Nvidia GeForce Now and Xbox) profiles, the app will recommend helpful content, including game walkthrough videos.

The app will also offer personalized promotions and pre-order deal notifications by analyzing data from a user’s gaming activity across game stores. Samsung also plans to improve user engagement through notifications related to daily streaks and in-game achievements.
